Explore Hidden Hawaii through Nature Printing

Posted on: November 24th, 2018 by heather

This is an exciting workshop April 12-16, 2019 on Molokai in the Hawaiian islands.  Only 1500 for 5 days 4 nights of exploration and printing!

Experience the original Hawaii that existed before the tourist boom hit in the 1950’s…. Venture to the verdant east end of this beautiful Molokai where we will host you in the historical lodge at the Pu’ U’ O Hoku, a 13,000 acre bio-dynamic working ranch.

Spend one on one time with master printer and plant expert, Heather Fortner, who will be teaching not only how to collect, preserve and print a wide variety of Hawaii’s native plants, feathers, insects and fish, but also the stories behind the lives of these unique flora and fauna. Visit sites conserved by the Molokai Land Trust and the The Nature Conservancy and hear how this island is leading the come back of native and endemic species in the Hawaiian islands.

Create beautiful lasting art using nature as a printing press, including a full range of textured, beautiful objects from Hawaii’s land, sea and air. Return home with a portfolio of prints for framing, making into cards, wrapping paper, fabric design as well as an intimate knowledge of Hawaii’s wildlife and cultural traditions.  This workshop is offered through fullheart productions-fullheartproductions.com/hidden_hawaii
